Eloquently illustrating the expression “an iron fist in a velvet glove”, the flavour and aroma palette nonetheless takes on autumnal, chocolate and liquoricey tones that beam with mature expression.

Nose : Lively, deep. Medicinal (mustard), fruity (orange, mango), floral (tuberose, lily) and fresh (cane juice), the first nose is ethereal. Allowed to breathe, wonderful notes of chocolate, liquorice and apricot interweave with one another.

Appearance : Cuivre orangé soutenu.

Palate : Incisive, resolute. Dried fruit and nuts (apricot, date, walnut) and flavours of dried leaves and sugar cane reflect the attack’s tertiary character. Citrus fruit zests (orange, grapefruit) then coat the taste buds in their pleasant bitterness

Overall : Long, concentrated. The start of the finish is marked by delicate notes of mushroom, lichen and salted butter caramel. Rooty (gentian) and floral (geranium, iris butter), the after-taste develops balsamic (pine, lime blossom), powdery (cocoa, rice) and woody registers.
