GLENFIDDICH 40 ans Re-Imagination of Time Cumulative Time

HISTORY With an incredible cask heritage Glenfiddich is one of the few distilleries that can bottle a 40 year old version. The first edition of Glenfiddich 40 Year Old was created in the 2000's, made from a blend of several casks. For this latest Glenfiddich 40 Year Old, the method of production is a little special, involving the blending of several casks to create a unique marriage called "vatting". Each new blend or "vatting" is blended with the rest of the previous blend of the old version, an ageing technique that we are now one of the only distilleries to use. This latest Glenfiddich 40 year old is the 18th and last release to date. Please note that the bottling degree can be different according to the release, depending on the cask combination. CONCEPT The effects of time made physical. This whisky highlights the layers of flavour that build up over time. It celebrates evolution with elements that will build on the traces of the past. MATURATION This new edition of Glenfiddich 40 Year Old is matured in ex-bourbon and olorosso sherry casks, selected from the finest Glenfiddich distillery casks blended with the old Glenfiddich 40 Year Old release. This version is bottled without reduction and therefore at a natural strength.
