This Glen Grant 1954 marks the final chapter of the Mr George Legacy Series, a tribute to George Urquhart, a true pioneer of single malt whisky and a master of balancing spirit, cask, and time.
Distilled on 24 April 1954 and matured for 70 years in a First-Fill Sherry Puncheon, this exceptional single malt has been released in only 130 bottles, celebrating Gordon & MacPhail’s 130th anniversary.

At 50.5%, this Speyside whisky reveals an amber hue and a complex nose combining light leather, stewed prune, spicy clove, blueberry compote, vanilla fudge, and roasted coffee.
On the palate, it offers smooth notes of red apple, walnut, and dried orange peel, evolving towards tobacco and caramelised banana, before finishing elegantly on dark chocolate, spices, and a hint of toasted oak.
The finish is medium in length, delicately marked by a touch of smoke and lingering fruit.
