Built on a base of Muscadet - the flagship wine of the Nantes region - Douce Folie BLANC is enriched with herbal aromas through traditional maceration.
The Douce Folie Vermouth wines are made by Benoît Landron (Domaine Landron Chartier), who lovingly cultivates his vines on the hillsides overlooking the Loire near Ancenis (Loire-Atlantique).
Harvested by hand, the grapes are vinified with indigenous yeasts and a minimum of intervention by the winemaker. With no added sulphites, these are "Natural" wines which, after several months of maturing in vats, are ready to embrace a Douce Folie!
It is in the Distiloire workshop, near Nantes, that the wines will receive an addition of alcohol, sugar and about fifteen organic plants and spices which will give it the characteristic aromas of Vermouth: Gentian, Absinthe, Rosemary, Fennel, Juniper, Roman Camomile, Pink Berries, Orange or even Vanilla.
Floral and slightly spicy, the Vermouth Douce Folie BLANC is the ideal aperitif to whet your appetite.
It can be enjoyed chilled, on the rocks or in a classic cocktail (Dry Martini,...) accompanied by a twist of lemon or an olive.
Try it also with Tonic.
Keep in a cool place after opening and consume quickly.
