Bruichladdich Islay Barley was produced using the most gentle methods possible. Distilled very slowly in order to extract the oils and oily matter contained in the barley as fully as possible, it is an authentic expression of the island’s soil and climate. Bottled at 50% without chill filtering, Islay Barley 2014 is characterised by notes of honey, heather, yellow and exotic fruit, and mild spices.
Nose : This whisky charms with aromas of fresh malt, apricot, ripe peach, biscuit, and a hint of maritime iodine.
Palate : It offers a satiny and delicate texture, punctuated by notes of cereals, creamy vanilla, and yellow fruits.
Overall : Elegant and moderate, blending light honey and salty breeze, with medium length and a discreet fruity return.
