To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its reopening, the distillery is reviving an Islay legend with this fourth release in the limited-edition “The Whisky of Mass Distinction Series.” This 14-year-old single malt, aged 75% in French red wine casks and 25% in bourbon casks, pays homage to the unusual story of the yellow submarine discovered off the coast of Islay, which led to the distillery being classified as a potential site for the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction.
