Fuelled by his passion for whisky and a dream to create an internationally-renowned Indian brand, an ambitious businessman called Paul John decided to open a distillery in 2004. He chose to set up shop in Goa, a colourful, multicultural town in south-west India: the Paul John brand was born. Greatly inspired by Indian culture, Paul John selected the best raw materials to create rich singe malts that were refined and delicately spicy. Perfectly ripe barley is harvested on the Himalayan plains during the summer period. Double distilled in traditional copper stills, the whisky is then matured in the distillery’s warehouse where the tropical climate acts as a catalyst. The result is a magnificent whisky, full of contrast and character.
