BOWS 2021 Version Française French Oak Cask

Nose : delicate and complex. Beautiful aromas of corn are first joined by enticing scents of apricot, mango and blood orange. With aeration, the aromatic profile becomes more honeyed (heather), chocolatey and resinous (cedar). Gradually, aromas of crème brûlée fill the air.

Appearance : cuivre orangé.

Palate : full and rich. Remarkable for its balance and smooth texture, the flavour profile is at once jammy (marmalade, apricot), powdery (ginger, cocoa) and earthy (gentian). Over time, it evolves towards flavours of tropical fruit (mango, persimmon), toffee and black liquorice, before giving way to more smoky nuances (wood varnish, beeswax).

Overall : long and composed. With its silky touch (vine peach), it shows great maturity. Notes of corn and malted barley gradually coat the palate. Juicy, the retro-olfaction returns to fruity territory (orange, mango) while the empty glass reveals balsamic (oak cask), chocolatey and slightly medicinal (balm) notes.
