Step into the extraordinary with this century-old Grande Champagne Cognac. Every drop of this rare jewel, patiently shaped by time, embodies a century of tradition and craftsmanship. We have chosen to unveil this incomparable cognac in a limited edition of 220 bottles to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Maison Bache-Gabrielsen. Benefiting from exceptional aging that has brought it to its point of perfection, this masterpiece reveals a complex aromatic profile, a harmonious blend of richness and depth, offering a taste as unique as it is timeless. Discover this exceptional treasure and savor the taste of rarity. Grape variety: Ugni Blanc Cru: Grande Champagne Color: amber ruby Aging: more than a century Packaging: arch case Limited anniversary edition of 220 bottles. Each bottle is individually numbered. THE ORIGINS OF RÉVÉLATION LOT.20: This Grande Champagne has been identified as coming from the Bouteville region. It was distilled in a traditional distillery equipped with two small pot stills, one with a capacity of 3 hectoliters and the other 5 hectoliters, which are considerably smaller than the standard stills used in modern production. Both stills were coal-fired rather than wood-fired. The aging process began in barrels before being transferred to 150- and 200-liter oak casks. During World War II, this cognac was safeguarded in the private residence of the distiller, hidden in a “secret room” ingeniously built behind a false wall. THE ORIGINS OF BACHE-GABRIELSEN COGNAC: Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen, a young man from Holmestrand, Norway, founded our cognac house in 1905 at the age of just 22. In the early years, he was joined by his partner Peter A. Rustad, who sadly passed away in 1916. After Rustad’s death, Thomas continued to run the business on his own. Today, several generations later, the house remains proudly family-owned and is led by Thomas’s great-grandson, Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen. From the beginning, our family’s mission has been – and continues to be – to carefully select, craft, and deliver cognacs of the highest quality to our friends and clients around the world.
