    Founded by Harold Currie, former CEO of Chivas, the Lochranza distillery will celebrate its 30th anniversary on August 17, 2025. Bottled at 43% ABV, the first bottling of its single malt was released in 1998. In 2017, the installation of an additional wash still and spirit still allowed the distillery to double its production capacity. Remarkably complex and balanced, this version continually gains strength while maintaining a tremendous freshness throughout. Authentic, natural, and exceptionally fluid, its deliciously spring-like aromatic and flavor palette is a true ode to malted barley.

    Nose : refined, fresh. Immediately evoking a verdant barley field, the aromatic palette evolves toward more minty, fruity (apple, pear), and citrusy notes. Upon aeration, soft spices (cinnamon, ginger) and more assertive ones (pepper, star anise) give it a great deal of vitality.

    Palate : Both lively and creamy. By turns invigorating (candied lemon), tenderly malty, and freshly herbaceous (sage, chamomile), the flavor palette is a model of balance. Perfectly in keeping with the nose, it extends into delicious honeyed (acacia) and waxy notes.

    Overall : Full-bodied and rich. Increasingly open, the flavor palette now displays exotic (pineapple, banana, kiwi) and vanilla tones, whose freshness of expression is matched only by their evocative power. On the retro-olfaction, delicious notes of licorice and infused verbena delicately coat the taste buds.
