Drawn from a rare stock of the distillery, this second edition of the Y2K limited series underwent primary maturation in bourbon casks, followed, in part, by finishing in Amontillado sherry casks — a first for Ardbeg.

Nose : Powerful, deep and spicy: soft caramel, blooming blackcurrant buds, old leather and almond. With a drop of water, hints of charcoal, damp moss and a touch of soot emerge.
Palate : Very intense and spicy: an initial powerful smoky attack reminiscent of burnt wood. Then, the Amontillado sherry casks subtly reveal caramel, leather, cinnamon and clove. Long and persistent finish with nuances of menthol, eucalyptus, linseed oil and charcoal.
