TWELVE 2018 Version Française Pedro Ximénez Cask

Since 2020, Version Française, a range dedicated to exceptional French spirits, has been traveling across the country to meet producers and showcase their craftsmanship. Founded in 2014 by Christian Bec, Patrice Imbaud, and ten other enthusiasts, the Twelve Distillery was established in a former presbytery in Laguiole, where a Stupfler still began operating in 2017. The barley, grown in the south of Aveyron and the Tarn region, is brewed and fermented locally using the pure water of the Aubrac plateau. Meticulous in its cask selection, the distillery presents here a richly complex single malt, first matured in new French oak casks and then finished in a Pedro Ximénez cask from the renowned González Byass bodega. Prune, licorice, soy sauce, and ebony wood compose an intense aromatic palette.
