This Secret Speyside (GL) was aged for 16 years in first-fill oloroso sherry casks before being bottled at 57.10%. Behind this enigmatic name lies the Glendullan distillery, which with this version offers a rich, spicy profile with aromas of prince, caramel and nuts. The 100 Proof range refers to the British system of measuring alcohol content, which corresponds to the famous “Navy Strength”. At 57.1% proof, this range highlights a variety of distilleries, which express themselves with great intensity while retaining the aromatic richness typical of Signatory Vintage's ageing expertise. The Glendullan distillery was founded in 1897 in Dufftown, in the heart of Speyside, by William Williams & Sons. The last of the town's seven distilleries to be established in the Victorian era, it is distinguished by its fruity, elegant style. Now owned by Diageo, it is best known for its role in blends, but its single malts, rare in official bottlings, reveal a fine complexity, particularly in sherry aging.
