RHUM RHUM 2024 Libération

After a four-year hiatus, Rhum Rhum is making a comeback with two new expressions, the oldest ever bottled. The history of these agricultural rums dates back to 2005, when distiller Gianni Capovilla, famous for his grappas and fruit brandies, and Luca Gargano of the Italian company Velier decided to install a Müller pot still, heated in a water bath, on the island of Marie-Galante. After a long fermentation process (six to eight days), the first Rhum Rhum blanc was launched in 2009, followed in 2010 by an aged version. A distinctive feature of this range is that the year displayed on the label refers to the date of “barrel release,” i.e., when it was bottled after maturation, rather than the year of distillation. Bursting with naturalness and revealing a delicious mineral reduction, this Libération 2024 conceals many empyreumatic, fruity, syrupy, floral, and spicy treasures.
