In 1870, on his return to France, he quickly spread this new drink, which soon became Amer Picon. In the 1920s, Picon was a great success and became one of the leading French aperitifs. Picon is the bearer of a strong historical and cultural heritage and has been featured in numerous films such as Marcel Pagnol's "César" and even today in "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain". Picon is a unique recipe combining fruity aromas and more complex notes thanks to its original combination of orange peel and plants (gentian and cinchona). Picon is the undisputed leader of the brown bitters market in France.
