A symbol of French meadows, the thistle gives its name to the village of Chardonnay, derived from the Latin cardonnacum, meaning “place where thistles grow.” This single malt whisky, crafted from organic barley, has matured for five years in bourbon casks to fully develop its aromatic depth. A further finishing period in Chardonnay casks extends its aging, adding delicate notes of white fruit.
