NINKASI 2016 Version Française

It was not until 2015 that the famous Lyon brewer ventured into whisky production. Keen to produce a quality, artisanal single malt, Ninkasi entrusted the project to Alban Perret – an aesthete, outstanding distiller, wine lover and flavour enthusiast. The cask selected for Version Française comes from a blend of malt peated to 35 ppm and unpeated malt (50/50). Fermented for 72 hours and distilled in a Charentais-type pot still, the whisky then aged in fresh local wine casks, giving it a remarkable fruitiness!
