Whisky distilled in 2018/2019 have been chosen to create a masterpiece. Using mainly first fill and second fill bourbon barrels to get a good, stable maturation and create a Tsunuki’s taste of base, the use of several other types of barrels gives it a complex and deep flavor. Mars Tsunuki Distillery was launched in 2016 in a small area enclosed by mountains. Here, the company first began producing spirits in 1909, and production has continued for over a hundred years. Mt. Kurata spring water flows here, making up the body of the spirits, and the warm regional climate from southern Japan deepens the flavors of the meticulously made single malt.

Color : Ambre intense.

Nose : Starting on the sweetness and citrusy notes of the Japanese loquat reminding a delicious marmelade. As for the Tsunuki 2022 Edition, it follows on a hint of peat aroma that spreads pleasantly along with sweet notes of honey and pancakes.

Palate : The taste expresses the energy and depth of the deep original liquor that the Tsunuki distillery aims to produce. We keep the fruity notes from the nose with some fresh lemon peel. A complex thick malty flavor is perfectly maintaining the balance for several seconds.

Overall : A full-bodied sweetness and pleasant bitterness linger on the palate.
