The Yakushima island has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. The climate is hot and tropical with a high percentage of humidity. It is said that “it rains 35 days a month”. This extreme climate also gives Mars a different aging environment from Shinshu et Tsunuki with a higher share of angels.

Nose : The nose firstly starts on fruits like orange, candied pineapple and banana. Notes of salt and vanilla brings delicacy and complexity. Sweet aroma of caramel maintains the balance.
Appearance : Ambre étincellant
Palate : Following the nose, juicy fruits set the pace. The mounth has a rich taste that bring us in the lush flora of Yakushima. The refined saltiness is directly reminding the Pacific Ocean all around the island.
Overall : The fruitiness is definitely the common thread of this Y.A. #1, supported by the sweet taste of the malt.
