The Macallan Classic Cut - 2025 Edition features notes of grapefruit, panna cotta and apple. A myriad of dynamic and evolving flavours gradually unfold with the addition of water, revealing new depths of character.
This whisky is anything but classic. Undiluted, the whisky reveals dominant notes of velvety milk chocolate and orange zest. When water is added, reducing its alcohol content to 40%, lively notes of grapefruit and creamy vanilla panna cotta emerge.
Adding more water, reducing the alcohol content to 20%, reveals a fresh and warm finish of apple and lemon zest.
Nose : Soft citrus notes with orange, caramel and milk chocolate, followed by hints of vanilla and baked apple.
Palate : Smooth and sweet, with mandarin and grapefruit balanced by pastry and caramelised almond notes.
Overall : Long and warming, lingering on fruit and gentle oak spices.
