Description
Bottled in 1991, this 25-year-old Macallan was distilled in 1965. Taking their inspiration from an original model dating from the 18th century, the English crystal factory Tudor of Wordsley produced a limited series of this decanter for The Macallan. Handmade and diamond engraved, this decanter is presented with a crystal stopper on which is engraved the year 1965.
Tasting notes
Nose : concentré, riche. Absolument voluptueux, il nous fait pénétrer à l'intérieur des chais d'une bodega de Jerez de la Frontera. Le bois précieux se mélange aux parfums envoûtants du sherry : noix, amande, abricot, fruits rouges et noirs, cerise à l'eau de vie, chocolat noir, café, vanille .... un air salin s'engouffre par le moindre interstice.
Overall : longue, soyeuse. D'une rare élégance, ses épices agrémentent chaque saveur. Son caractère racé est marqué par le tabac frais, le cuir, le bois précieux, la cire et l'encens. La rétro-olfaction est d'une rare complexité (fruits rouges, figue sèche). le verre vide nous propose un nouveau voyage olfactif.
