In the 14th century, the important presence of the Italian grape variety "Trebbiano Bianc" in the South East of France coincided with the arrival of the Popes in Avignon. Renamed Ugni Blanc, this transalpine heritage is generous, late maturing and resistant to the vagaries of nature. It naturally migrates to the distillation regions because it allows for the production of fine, high quality eaux-de-vie.
Exode XIV has the freshness of a young Armagnac, with the citrus and almond paste notes found in the Ugni Blanc de Laballe, terroir of the Sables fauves. It is a blend of three vintages (2014, 2015, 2017) that will offer all their character to this Armagnac as unique as its history!

Closer to the producer

Laballe is the story that the Laudet family has been writing in Parlebosq, Landes, since 1820. Driven by their deep-rooted attachment to the terroir, each generation has brought its expertise, vision, and innovations. While Cyril Laudel enjoys challenging the conventions of Armagnac, he is committed to capturing the typical character of
Sables Fauves, the exceptional land of Bas-Armagnac in the Landes region. This commitment extends to sustainable viticulture, with a strict overview of every stage of production of his Bas-Armagnacs, from vineyard to bottle, including vinification, distillation, and aging.
