This is a premium blended Japanese whisky crafted exclusively from whiskies distilled in Japan, including rare selections from now-closed distilleries. At its heart lies the renowned Chichibu malt whisky, supported by an exceptional blend that includes a remarkable 36-year-old Hanyu whisky and a rare 40-year-old grain whisky from Kawasaki. Carefully blended by Ichiro Akuto himself, this whisky delivers a profoundly deep and complex flavor profile, showcasing both his masterful craftsmanship and the rich heritage of Japanese whisky making. Hanyu, his grandfather's distillery, distilled only single malt, the last filled barrels of which are now around forty years old, while Kawasaki was a distillery entirely dedicated to the production of grain whiskey. These limited editions have been named “World’s Best Limited Edition Blend” at the World Whiskeys Awards in four of the last six years, highlighting their extraordinary quality and the expertise and talent of those who created them.
