A hallmark mark of the Hampden distillery, it elegantly embodies the house style — revealing, in bursts but with great verve, its distinctive hydrocarbon notes. Its aromatic and flavour profile is most often led by floral and fruity sequences of rare intensity. Long after the tasting, the vetiver notes lingering in the empty glass perfectly illustrate its lasting character.

    Nose : Rich, unctuous. At once floral (mignonette, hyacinth), musky, and medicinal (balm), the aromatic profile shows remarkable depth. With aeration, scents of cane honey and raw sugar gently fill the olfactory space. Gradually more empyreumatic (rubber), it also reveals new spices (white pepper, ginger).

    Palate : Both lively and full-bodied. Returning strongly to the medicinal notes of the nose, the flavour profile is marked by intense flavours of mustard seed and clove. It then continues on honeyed and delicately tarry (pipe tobacco) notes.

    Overall : Ample, balanced. Brightened by superb citrus flavours (lemon, grapefruit) and juicy fruit (ripe banana, russet apple), it radiates vitality. Fibrous and liquorice-like, the retro-olfaction immerses us in the bustling atmosphere of a fermentation room in full swing.
