This single cask of Hampden LFCH 2021 is the result of a meticulous selection process among several experimental ex-Sherry casks from Bodegas Fundador, each used to age different marks and vintages. Aged for four years in the tropical climate of Trelawny, Jamaica, this bottling brilliantly expresses the elegance of the LFCH mark, enhanced by the distinctive influence of Sherry notes. This selection was made in collaboration with the LMDW team, who identified this rum as the ideal choice to spark interest in high-proof Jamaican rums in France.

Nose : Refined and aromatic, opening on warm cocoa and subtle balsamic notes of cedar and resin. Layers of dried herbs, orange zest and apricot bring both freshness and depth. Over time, hints of sandalwood and wax underline its elegance.

Appearance : vieil or soutenu.

Palate : Generous and well-balanced, revealing chestnut, truffle and liquorice tones. A delicate bitterness of gentian and mint enlivens the mid-palate, while roasted walnut and soft spices add structure.

Overall : Lingering and harmonious, marked by chocolate and dried fruits. Powdery notes of cinnamon and ginger extend the experience with a smooth, slightly smoky aftertaste.
