HAMADA Kogane

Founded in 1868, during the Meiji era, the Hamada distillery represents the tradition, innovation and heritage of shochu in Kagoshima prefecture. A pioneer in its field, it constantly reinvents the art of shochu while respecting its history. Created specifically for La Maison du Whisky, Kogane is a unique blend of sweet potatoes (60%) and barley (40%), bottled with a slight reduction to 30% alc. It highlights the Kagoshima terroir, the salinity and sweetness of the Kogane Sengan variety of golden sweet potato, combined with the lightly roasted notes of barley. Both rich and accessible, it can be served as an aperitif, with still or sparkling water over ice and a slice of lime.
