The Family Casks Collection comprises 43 vintages (from 1952 to 1994) bottled at natural strength. Within this range, it was the 1960 vintage that impressed us the most. It was a real ‘coup de coeur’. Its colour, its nose, its palate, everything is in unison. It commands admiration.
Nose : riche, complexe. Le vieillissement en fût de sherry dans ce qu'il a de plus abouti. Marqué par le pruneau, la cerise à l'eau de vie, des épices chatoyantes, une pincée de sel et des notes de bois précieux. Il évoque également la datte, l'orange et le cuir. Il évolue sur les fruits rouges et le zan.
Overall : interminable, suave. Sa texture est d'une grande délicatesse. Elle révèle le vieux bois, la poudre de cacao et la pêche de vigne. Elle se prolonge sur le tilleul, la noix grillée et la figue fraîche.
