FRENCH WHISKY : Eddu Tourbé is a buckwheat whisky from the Brittany region of France.

PROFILE : Eddu Tourbé offers a straightforward and precise profile, featuring notes of toasted cereals, heather and peat. This distillate is produced entirely from buckwheat, then aged for an initial 3 years in cognac casks followed by 2 years in casks that previously held peated Scotch whisky.

Color : Jaune paille délicat

Nose : Floral and complex. Floral scents (heather, rose) combine with an exotic character (lychee). This is followed by aromas of dark chocolate, delicate wood and refined smoke.

Palate : Fruity and unctuous. The texture is almost oily, with hints of smoky oak. Delicate notes of white fruit, pear and lychee gradually emerge, with a touch of pepper adding freshness.

Overall : Long, vegetal and herbaceous. The influence of peat is clearly present, with hints of smoke that add complexity to Eddu's typical buckwheat flavors.
