EDDU 15 year old Brittany whisky comes from a family distilling tradition that has been rooted in Plomelin for over a century. In 1999, thanks to Guy Le Lay, EDDU was born, a whisky made exclusively from IGP buckwheat of the Harpe variety, harvested in Brittany. In the meantime, Guy has passed on his passion to his three sons: Erwan, Kevin and Loig, the custodians of this unique know-how, of which EDDU 15 ans is one of the jewels. With its fluidity and suppleness, EDDU 15 ans evokes the meanders - or Vire-Court - of the Odet as it meanders towards the ocean. Aged exclusively in French oak casks, this pure buckwheat Brittany whisky boasts an intense nose, with hints of curry and candied fruit. Its round, gourmet palate offers a long, unctuous finish.

Nose : Particularly intense. Reveals notes of curry, and dried and candied fruit. A clear sign of maturity. We also find notes of stone fruits that then take on the appearance of exotic fruits. Radiant and fresh.

Palate : Round and generous, with hints of wood and spice. In synch with the nose, apricot-flavoured with a very fine woodiness, full of subtlety. Fairly sweet spices (like cinnamon) delicately spread across the palate.

Overall : Exceptionally long and creamy, grains appear with authority. New exotic fruits then make an astonishing appearance: coconut and mango accompanied by white flowers such as lilac.
