DUO NIKKA WHISKY TAKETSURU x FROM THE BARREL

Nose : Fruity. Marked by citrus aromas like orange, but also by juicy pear notes. Complex and expressive, the nose evolves and reveals light herbaceous notes with a hint of peat and a slight bitterness, as it flows from orange to grapefruit.

Palate : Round and delicate. Cereal flavours stand alongside sweet spice with a touch of cardamom. At the same time, candied fruit notes appear with a more assertive character, lending it depth and length.

Overall : In line with the palate, a slight but discreet bitterness comes along with some peatiness, somewhat reminiscent of a full-bodied dark chocolate.

Color : vieil or à reflets dorés.

Nose : Fresh, straight. Very subtle, the aromatic pallet reveals firstly delicious perfumes of quince jelly, lemon zests, vanilla, and noble spices (cardamom). Mineral (chalk), it evolves in a more medicinal field (mustard grains).

Palate : Vibrant and full-bodied. With notes of pepper, paprika, and a tangy hint of lemon, the flavor profile displays plenty of character. As it becomes smoother, it invites us to savor a delicious hot chocolate and indulge in succulent caramelized apples.

Overall : Full-bodied and lively. Driven by notes of malted grains, the finish is refreshed by the sweet yet tart juice of an apple. Light and floral (rose), it gradually gives way to refined tobacco notes (cigar).
