A new chapter begins for Chichibu. In 2019, nestled in the mountains of northwestern Saitama Prefecture, Chichibu Distillery II marked a major milestone in the evolution of Japanese whisky. The very first single malt from Chichibu II This whisky represents the first official bottling from Chichibu Distillery II, which has been in operation since 2019. It vividly expresses Chichibu’s signature bright and fruity character, underpinned by a deep and generous aromatic structure shaped by direct flame-heated stills. Primarily matured in bourbon casks, it offers an enveloping honeyed sweetness enriched with delicately layered notes of ripe fruit. A small portion of heavily peated whisky completes the blend, adding a subtle and balanced smokiness that extends the tasting experience with a persistent, malty, and refined finish.
