All about making whisky
Created to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the foundation of the Grande Chartreuse by St Bruno in 1084, the first Carthusian monastery, Chartreuse Liqueur du 9ème Centenaire contains 47% ABV and shares certain characteristics with the green and yellow varieties - it has the aromatic profile of green Chartreuse, and the mellowness of the yellow - while at the time having its own character. The bottle is inspired by a design that was in circulation between 1840 and 1878.
