Distilled in 2007 from barley harvested in 2006 on the Rockside farm in Islay, Bruichladdich Islay Barley was produced using the most gentle methods possible. Distilled very slowly in order to extract the oils and oily matter contained in the barley as fully as possible, it is an authentic expression of the island’s soil and climate. Bottled at 50% without chill filtering, Islay Barley 2007 is characterised by notes of honey, heather, yellow and exotic fruit, and mild spices.
