    Matured exclusively in a sherry cask, this high-calibre young single cask marks the opening of the 15th edition of the Artist range. At the end of the 19th century, Ben Nevis distillery enjoyed such popularity that in 1878, to meet growing demand, a second distillery named “Nevis” was built on the same site. It operated until 1908, when it merged with the original distillery founded in 1825. Perfectly embodying the "West Highlands" style that makes Ben Nevis unique, this expression impresses with its authentic, generous character. Its aromatic and flavour profile evokes Andalusian harvests through its vibrant fruit, lively energy, and voluble temperament.

    Color : cuivre orangé.

    Nose : rich and deep. Mineral (slate), medicinal, and camphorated, yet smoothly chocolatey, fruity (orange zest), heady (iris), and vegetal (straw). With aeration, it becomes spicier (Espelette pepper), autumnal (chestnut, date), and balsamic (Oregon pine), while an elegant rancio develops (apricot, cherry in eau-de-vie).

    Palate : lively and bold. Flavours of café au lait, tropical fruits (mango, passion fruit), quince jelly, and marmalade bring body and freshness to the profile. Then, various honeys (heather, lavender) and red berries (strawberry, raspberry), mingled with rose petal and orange blossom aromas, delicately coat the palate.

    Overall : silky and lightly tannic. Packed with dried fruits (date, almond, chestnut) and scattered with dry leaves, it conjures a luminous autumn warmed by the sun’s last rays. Finding a second wind, it then sets off south towards Spain, where it absorbs flavours of walnut, curry, salted almonds, apricot, and mango pâte de fruit.
