Warenghem was the first French distillery to venture into whisky, in 1983. In 1998, it once again led the way by offering the first French single malt under the Armorik brand.
Since then, the distillery has refined its mastery of whisky production. From 2010 to 2012, every step of whisky-making was reviewed and improved. It now offers a Breton whisky true to the eponymous geographical indication.
The cask selected for Version Française fully reflects its terroir: it is a single malt finished in a barrel that previously held Chouchen, the famous “honey wine” typical of the region.
Bottled at 50%, Armorik 2011 is a single malt of great generosity, framed by an impeccable spirit.
