Born from a meeting between Giovanni Chioccioli, owner of the Altadonna estate, and Luca Gargano, this naturally sparkling wine is made with the Sangiovese grape variety. It is created by adding water to pomace and incorporating a small amount of must to create a short second fermentation in the bottle. A true basketful of red and black fruits, its flavour and aroma palette is underscored by an absolutely delicious fruity acidity. Very crisp, it demonstrates incredible depth while still maintaining its ethereal nature.

Color : Rouge

Nose : fresh, deep. On the first nose, notes of black grape, cherry and blackcurrant take centre stage. Allowed to breathe, red and black fruit coulis (blackcurrant, bramble, Montmorency cherry) seep into every crack in the aroma palette. This then develops floral tones (peony, rose, purple lilac).

Palate : lively, clear. The deliciously beady attack is supported by an amazingly fresh fruity acidity. The slender mid-palate revisits the red and black fruits from the nose, cherry in particular. The rich end of the palate is like a delicious clafoutis.

Overall : long, dynamic. The juicy start of the finish invites us to bite into whole bunches of black grapes. Stem flavours and a tangy juice literally flood the taste buds as the edge of the palate is coated in delicious tannins. The end of the finish is heady (rose, carnation) and the retro-nasal olfaction like a cherry yoghurt. The ethereal empty glass reveals extremely refined fragrances of vine flower.
