Ximénez-Spínola Exceptional Harvest is produced as a late harvest: the grapes are over-ripe and picked 21 days after the usual date. The grapes reach their maximum concentration, with the water gently evaporating, increasing the natural alcohol content and sweetness of the wine. This meticulous process, enhanced by ageing in American oak barrels, gives it rich, mouth-watering aromas of fig and plum. Kept in optimal conditions, this wine can evolve and improve for over 25 years.

Nose : The nose is intense, offering exceptional aromas typical of the late harvest: figs, sultanas and plums. These aromas are enhanced by notes of pastry, typical of maturing on the lees.

Palate : On the palate, this wine is both light and intense. The acidity blends with the ripe, fleshy fruit, creating a lingering aftertaste in which the wood remains discreet.

Overall : A well-balanced finish with the sweetness of ripe fruit.
