    AMERICAN WHISKEY : Willett Rye 6 Year Old 2019 is a rye whiskey from Kentucky in the United States.

    PROFILE : This rye whiskey reveals an ample and luscious profile, featuring apricot, heady, praline, chocolate and autumnal notes. Made from a mash bill of 51% rye, 34% corn and 15% barley, this cask-strength bottling was matured on the 4th floor of warehouse G.

    Nose : Full-bodied and luscious. Apricot-like and heady (hyacinth, iris concrete) with praline notes, the aromatic profile—revealing scents of beeswax, candied ginger, and stave oak—steadily gains in intensity. Upon aeration, it takes on medicinal (Tiger Balm), camphoraceous, spicy (paprika), and empyreumatic (Russian leather, *papier d’Arménie*) qualities.

    Palate : Lively and dynamic. Initially bursting with fruit (melon, apricot, mango, orange), chocolate, and grain notes (rye, corn), the flavor profile evolves toward increasingly autumnal tones (mushroom, lichen, forest floor). Then, an array of dried fruits (date, fig, cashew) enhances the pleasant sense of serenity it exudes.

    Overall : Expansive and radiant. In perfect harmony with the nose and palate, it reveals mineral (pencil lead), fruity (blackberry, blueberry), indulgent (candied chestnut), and spicy (ginger, cinnamon) notes. With its cocoa and menthol nuances, the retro-olfaction also evokes the noble, woody, and spicy (cardamom, saffron) atmosphere of an American aging warehouse.
