WESTLAND 9 ans Peated American Single Malt Elixir Distillers

Distilled in an urban distillery located in the warehouse district of Seattle’s SoDo area and matured north of the city in the spectacular Skagit Valley, Westland whisky benefits from the unique Pacific Northwest climate: warm but moderate summers and very wet winters, which allow flavors to develop steadily. Since its founding in 2011, Westland has become a benchmark for American single malt. Distilled between 2014 and 2016, this small batch of 4 casks was bottled in 2025, combining maturation in new bourbon barrels and American whisky barrels. The whisky opens with light smoke and sweet peat on the nose, along with hints of pear, apple, and caramel. The palate reveals a barbecue-like sweetness, with nutty and earthy undertones.
