Delivery available in France only. Born in 1825, William Larue Weller was one of the early whiskey pioneers in Kentucky. W.L. Weller was credited as the first to distill a “wheated” bourbon, using wheat in place of rye in the mash bill. _x000D_
William Laure Weller’s story is inextricably linked with another bourbon legend, Pappy Van Winkle. In 1893, a young Julian Van Winkle, Jr. joined W.L. Weller & Sons as a traveling salesman._x000D_
Weller is nowadays produced at the World’s Most Awarded Distillery – Buffalo Trace. As part of the wheated bourbon family, this twelve-year-old W.L. Weller is aged far longer than most wheated bourbons, garnering a deep amber color, with complex flavors of vanilla, oak and cinnamon.
