SCOTCH WHISKY : The Hearach is a peated single malt from the Isle of Harris in the Scottish Hebrides.

PROFILE : This finely peated single malt offers a smoky and fruity profile, featuring notes of green apple and honey. The final blend combines distillates aged in first-fill bourbon casks, oloroso sherry casks and fino sherry casks.

DID YOU KNOW ? This spirit is the very first single malt released by the distillery, its name referring to the inhabitants of the island in the Gaelic language.

Color : Or vert.

Nose : Fine, fresh. Menthol, aniseedy and slightly peaty, the nose reveals a radiant herbal freshness (cut hay, green barley) accentuated by deeply pure aromas of chlorophyll. The aroma palette then develops into a more fruity register (green apple).

Palate : Rich, full-bodied. The attack evokes a field of barley, while a hint of peat and salt are placed on the tongue. Spices (clove, pepper) add relief to a mid-palate that develops barley and parsley flavours.

Overall : Long, serene. Refined notes of liquoricey peat softly coat the tastebuds as herbaceous flavours (fresh green bean) appear. The after-taste is characterized by particularly eloquent notes of green tea.
