STRATHEARN Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This third batch pays tribute to Strathearn’s singular aromatic profile and the time invested in crafting its rich, indulgent single malt. Drawn from the same demanding cask selection as its predecessor — ex-Bourbon, virgin oak, and ex-Sherry — it stands out this time through a greater emphasis on Sherry cask influence. The result: a nose richly marked by Sherry, toasted malt, and barley sugar, laced with dark honey and warming spices. On the palate, it reveals a buttery biscuit sweetness, layered with notes of chocolate and toffee, before stretching out into a long finish of oak, cocoa, and soft leather. Nestled in the heart of Highland Perthshire, an iconic region for Scotch whisky, Strathearn cultivates a rare and resolutely artisanal approach. Since 2013, the distillery has produced its single malt from an exceptional ingredient: Maris Otter Extra Pale malted barley, hand-mashed in one of the country's last remaining manual mash tuns, then slowly fermented for 144 hours.
