LONG POND 24 ans 1998 LSO Rest & Be Thankful

This rum was distilled at the famous Long Pond distillery in Jamaica. It bears the LSO mark, which among other things signifies distillation in an iron still and a target level of esters at the still outlet of around 120 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. Distilled in 1998, this rum was aged for over 24 years in an American oak cask, initially in a tropical climate, before being transported to Scotland for the second part of the ageing process. 165 bottles were bottled in Scotland in February 2023. Non-chill-filtered, no colourants and unfined.
