Located in Bukidnon, on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines, Rainforest Distillers was founded in 2015 by Master Distiller Marc Schulze, also the producer of Kasa Kaña Rum Agrikultura, an artisanal agricultural rum made from heritage Philippine sugarcane. This expression is crafted from the endemic Manpu variety, fermented for 9 to 12 days with the addition of dunder and muck grown and aged in the tropical Bukidnon biome. Distilled in a pot still, this 2024 vintage was then aged for 20 months in ex-Chardonnay casks within the rainforest. A Pure Single Rum overflowing with agricultural character and expressiveness.

Nose : Lively, expressive. Intense aromas of fresh cane juice, pineapple, lime, and coconut milk completely fill the aromatic space. As it opens up, subtle vanilla, camphor, and herbal notes (fresh-cut cane) begin to emerge.

Palate : Clean, vibrant. Marked by boldly medicinal sequences (aspirin, mustard plaster), the palate is carried by flavours of liquorice and sugarcane. Gradually, delicate cane sugar unfolds across the tongue and coats the palate.

Overall : Refined, elegant. Floral (mimosa, broom, vetiver), it is also distinctly fruity (pear, pineapple, combava). This tangy and juicy influence peaks in a mouth-watering impression of lime and basil tart. Reminiscent of vesou, the retro-olfaction features spring-like tones bursting with freshness.
