Potocki vodka is part of a long tradition upheld by the aristocratic Potocki Polish family. Created in 1816 after the fall of Napoleon, it is produced in the country’s second oldest distillery at Lancut Castle. By 1856 it had gained such a reputation that it was served at the Imperial table of Vienna. Produced from locally grown rye, Potocki is distilled twice without filtration. It is then allowed to rest before being bottled, to ensure that all the rye’s flavour and smoothness is preserved.
Nose : fresh and very aromatic, it starts with a full expression of the rye and then evolves with notes of lemon and coconut milk.
Palate : rich and velvety. The rye combines with the spices on a background of coconut milk and praline.
Overall : long and elegant, with red fruit, citrus fruit, and toasted rye.
