On the occasion of Nikka Whisky's 90th anniversary, the House's iconic product is presented in a limited edition gift box. From the Barrel is a unique blended whisky, bottled at 51.4% alc. which gives it great richness and aromatic intensity. Created by blending many different whiskies, including a base of corn whisky distilled in a Coffey still and various malt whiskies from the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries, it is extremely complex and well-balanced. It dares. It captures the senses. It imposes its own style.
Nose : Refined, complex. Floral (lilacs), fruity (apricots). Notes of spices (cloves) and leather.
Appearance : vieil or à reflets dorés.
Palate : Firm, powerful. Spicy (pepper). Woody (oak). Evolves with ripe fruit (peaches), caramelised apples and flowers (honeysuckle).
Overall : Long. Coastal. Ripe fruit (plums, peaches) on a background of woody-vanilla notes.
