The new Edition of the Mars Komogatake Double Cellars invites us to a journey across Japan, with a unique blend of whiskies distilled in 2014 in Shinshu and aged on both sides of the country.On one hand, ex-Bourbon & Sherry american oak casks have been aged in Shinshu, distillery located at 800 meters in the heart of the Japanese alps, while some ex-Bourbon casks were aging in the southern part of Japan, on the Yakushima island.
Nose : bitter chocolate and apricots.
Palate : subtle notes of citrus and biscuit, with a delicate and lingering salty note.
