Bottled at cask strength, without reduction and without chill filtration, it is a very appetising and invigorating malt.
At first, you have the impression of dealing with a rather reserved member of the Lagavulin family. Yet it soon opens up and becomes more expressive after adding a dash of water. Intense notes of pine and the acridity of the smoke call for it to be enjoyed with lean but intensely flavoured dishes.
