Kilchoman's iconic release, Machir Bay, before it was a whisky, was the name of a picturesque beach located a short walk from the distillery on the island of Islay. This signature single malt is a blend of whiskies aged 90% in ex-first fill bourbon casks and 10% in Oloroso sherry casks. Heavily peated (50 ppm), not chill-filtered or colored, it is characterized by powerful notes of ashy smoke, citrus, white and tropical fruits, enhanced by a saline touch.
