FIJI 11 ans 2014 Elixir Distillers

Distilled in one of the main distilleries of the Fiji Islands, this rum recalls classic Caribbean styles, notably Jamaican and Barbadian, made from locally grown cane molasses. Produced in the distillery’s column still, it matured for one year in bourbon barrels on the island before spending ten additional years in refill bourbon barrels in the UK. This small batch of 2 casks was bottled in 2025. The rum opens with lightly toasted banana and rye bread, balanced by delicate citrus – lemon and orange zest – with a hint of honey and vanilla. The palate is warm, with ripe oranges, a touch of pepper, and honey on buttered bread, complemented by rich vanilla cream. The finish lingers with spice and orange blossom honey. The Rum Trail range celebrates the great rum terroirs through authentic bottlings carefully selected by Sukhinder Singh, offering a faithful and unique experience.
